Curriculam & Academic

Curriculum:-

The Curriculum is based on the NCERT syllabi as recommended by the CBSE, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English. However, emphasis is laid on Bengali/ Hindi as second and third Language.

Affiliation:-

The school has been approved by Govt. of West Bengal, Education department and we are going to be affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.

ATeacher -Students Ratio:-

To take proper care of individual, we have maintained 1: 25 teacher student’s ratio.

Academic evaluation:-

• PRE SCHOOL & PRE PRIMARY:- Students of Pre School stage are not evaluated formally. Teachers take the feed back of weekly progress of the students of those classes. Each semester, parents are apprised of the progress of their wards.
• PRIMARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL :- Students of those classes are evaluated & on the basis of continuous comprehensive evaluation (Formative Tests), followed by two Summative examinations.
• SECONDARY & SENIOR SECONDARY:- Students of classes IX to XI take two units tests, two surprise tests and two terminal examinations during the year.
• P.T.A :- The parents can interact with the school any time regarding the performance of their children. Parents-teachers meetings are arranged as per schedule.
• GRADATION:- Students are periodically evaluated for their performance in the class and graded Accordingly. Those failing to meet required standards are given special and focused Attention. Parents are kept informed of their children’s progress regularly. Grade System is based on the norms of CBSE, New Delhi.

U.P. Public School is an activity-based school with emphasis on all-round development of the students. The school provides a wide range of opportunities and Facilities to develop their skills.

Students are trained at a very young age to inculcate a sense of responsibility, loyalty, team spirited and healthy competition to develop positive attitude in them. They are encouraged to participate in co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities Inter-House, Intra-House and inter-school competitions.

• COACHING FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION :- We prepare our students to appear at National Cyber Olympiad – Mathematics and Science Examinations, Talent Search Exam and Unified Council Exam., Government Scholarship Examinations, English Assessment test conducted by New-South Wales University & have bagged National Level rankings.
• House System:- The students of class I and above are divided into four Houses – Blue House, Green House, Red House and Yellow House. Each house is further divided in Sub-Junior, Junior, Pre Senior and Senior categories on the basis of student’s age.
